LOMO: A Truly Urban Neighborhood
About the neighborhood:
Lower Monticello (LoMo) is the burgeoning neighborhood immediately north of the Cultural District bound by West 7th Street on the south, Monticello Drive to the west, Arch Adams on the east and Bristol Avenue to the north. Historically comprised of small cottages and bungalows, the neighborhood is experiencing considerable redevelopment as more and more people are choosing to live within walking distance of the Cultural District. Having built more than 40 houses and townhomes in the neighborhood, Village Homes has made a considerable investment here and is planning some exciting new projects for the future.
Within a five minute walk from Fort Worth’s reknowned Cultural District, which is being beautifully transformed with the addition of more than half a million square feet of new boutique retail, restaurants, and entertainment venues, we believe LoMo is uniquely poised to become Fort Worth’s most truly urban neighborhood.
About Fourth and Boland:
Our townhouses at the corner of Fourth and Boland Streets were inspired by the indelible side loaded garden houses of Charleston. The plans are uniquely designed with the “front door” providing access into a private garden through which one passes before entering the home from the side. The kitchen and living spaces are open to one another and connect to the garden through a wall of gliding French doors which bring an abundance of natural light into the home. Each house features a master suite on the main level and two separate bedrooms and bathrooms with a commons area on the second floor.
Genuine hardwoods, stainless steel KitchenAid appliances and granite countertops contribute to a clean, metropolitan aesthetic. The unique exterior design is influenced by both Arts and Crafts and West Indies precedents with broad exposed eaves, smooth, hand-troweled stucco, and operable exterior plantation shutters.
A printable walking map of the neighborhood is available in PDF format in our new Brochures section of the website. With the rapid and ample redevelopment taking place in the neighboring Cultural District, our new News and Blog section is a useful resource for up-to-the-minute information regarding real estate, restaurants, shopping and community organizations and events.
